What if changing your weight wasn’t about the food you ate, or the exercise you did or didn’t do?
What if it was about changing your thoughts and how you felt about yourself?
I have a very inspirational story to share with you today who is a perfect example of the easy, effortless weight loss that happens when you let go of old negative beliefs.
Suzanne found herself always ricocheting between having a super enthusiastic attitude towards getting healthy and motivated, and then realising after a little while “SHIT! I’m not skinny yet.”
STUFF this! I’m a failure!
And then not only did she stop all her healthy habits, she went off the deep end and immersed herself in a whole bunch of chocolate and junk food.
“ I guess I really woke up to that perfectionism – I was either doing everything all the time, or I was doing nothing at all.
Neither of them made me happy.
When the scales were going down every week that didn’t make me happy because it wasn’t ever enough.
When I was eating food all the time to deal with my life that didn’t make me happy
So I had to ask myself – What will make me happy?”
The problem I often experience with a lot of my Love Your Body Lean Re-School graduates is that they often go on to lose a BUNCH of weight, but there are so many amazing things going on in their life, they just don’t seem to really remember to tell me about it!
Suzanne was one of these graduates, she joined the Re-School over 2 years ago and to date has lost 58kilos – despite having a back injury that made it impossible to do ANY exercise.
I interviewed Suzanne who shared with me her incredible story and how discovering the peace of self acceptance and happiness allowed her to drop a bunch of weight in the process.
58kgs down… No exercise…no dieting…
And by the way, there are also many of my graduates that don’t lose any weight within the program, and some that even put on weight – but they create a the level of peace, happiness and self-acceptance that allows them to get off that diet roller coaster for good.
And just so you know, getting off the diet roller coaster may not give rapid fat loss results – but it is THE essential key to be able to create balance in your body.
It’s that emotional up and down that creates the dieting yo-yo effect itself!
